Humanity Zero are a band from Greece that has had music reviewed before in this zine and plays a melodic and atmospheric mixture of doom and death metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Proselytism"which was released as a joint effort between Satanath Records and More Hate Productions.
Atmospheric sounding synths start off the album along with some melodic riffing a few seconds later while the vocals are mostly death metal growls as well as the music also bringing in a great amount of 90's influences and the slow riffs are very heavily rooted in doom metal.
Most of the tracks are very long and epic in length while the solos and leads are done in a very melodic style along with the screams also adding in a touch of black metal when they are utilized as well as a couple of tracks also introducing acoustic guitars onto the recording and as the album progresses the music speeds up and also brings a small amount of blast beats onto the recording.
On this recording Humanity Zero remains true to their melodic and atmospheric mixture of doom and death metal, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover horror, Lovecraft, darkness and death themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Humanity Zero and if you are a fan of atmospheric and melodic doom and death metal, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ruler Of The Ultimate Void Of Chaos" "Nightmare-Corpse City" and "Dark Angel of The Four Wings". 8 out of 10.
