Voices of Destiny/Power Dive/Massacre Records/2012 Review

Voices  Of  Destiny  are  a  band  from  Germany  that  has  had  their  previous  album  reviewed  as  well  as  being  interviewed  by  this  scene  that  plays  a  very  symphonic  form  of  gothic  metal  mixed  in  with  some  influences  from  death,  doom,  and  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2012  album  "Power  Dive" which  was  released  by  Massacre  Records.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  not  much  in  the  way  of  blast  beats,  while the  synths  bring  a  very  dark,  symphonic  and  psychedelic  feeling  to  the  music,  as  for  the  bass  playing  it  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  is  coming  out  of  the  guitars  and  at  times  they  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  traditional,  gothic,  death  and  doom  metal  together  with  a  good  amount  of  dark  sounding  melodies  as  well  as  a  brief  use  of  soft  and  clean  playing  as  for  the  lead  guitars  when  they  are  utilized  they  are  very  melodic  sounding  guitar  solos  and  leads.

Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  clean  singing  female  vocals  and  deep  death/black  metal  growls  and  screams,  while  the  lyrics  cover  dark  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  heavy  and  professional  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another great  album  from  Voices  Of Destiny  and  if  you  where  a  fan  of  their last  album,  you  will  enjoy,,this  one  as  well. RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Power  Dive"  "Kami"  "Untouchable"  and  "Red  Winter's  Snow".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
