Moros are a band from Pennsylvania that plays a mixture of sludge and doom metal and this is a review of their 2019 album "Weapon" which was released by Hidden Deity Records.
Drum beats start off the album along with some distorted amp sounds a few seconds later before going into a heavier musical direction. Elements of sludge and doom metal can also be heard in the slower sections of the songs along with the riffs also bringing in a decent amount of dark sounding melodies.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very dark yet melodic style along with the vocals being mostly aggressive sounding screams. All of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them while death metal growls can also be heard in some parts of the recording and blast beats can be heard briefly when the music speeds up and some songs also add in a small amount of psychedelic sounds.
Moros plays a musical style that takes sludge and doom metal and mixes them to together to create a sound of their own along with some death metal and psychedelic elements. The production sound s very professional while the lyrics cover physical, emotional, psychological and self harm themes.
In my opinion Moros are a very great sounding mixture of sludge and doom metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "We Don't Deserve Death" "Death Nebula" and "Weapon". 8 out of 10.
