L'Alba Di Morrigan are a band from Italy that plays Alternative Metal/Dark Rock mixed in with some influences from Atmospheric Doom/Death Metal as well as a small amount of black metal and this is a review of their 2012 album "The Essence Remains" which was released by My Kingdom Music.
Drums are all slow playing with not much in the way of fast drumming or blast beats, while the synths bring a very dark and atmospheric sound to the music, as for the bass playing it has a very strong and powerful sound with post rock riffing that dominates throughout the recording.
Rhythm guitars are all slow riffs that combine melodic doom/death metal with alternative music and dark rock, while the lead guitars are very distorted and melpodic sounding shoegaze/post rock guitar solos and leads, as for the acoustic guitars they utile full chords and finger picking to bring an alternative/progressive rock sound to the music.
Vocals are all clean singing vocals with no growls or screams present on this recording, while the lyrics cover Paganism, Occultism, and Darkness, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful and professional sound to it.
In my opinion L'Alba Di Morrigan are a very great meldoic sounding doom/alternative metal/dark rock hybrid and if you are a fan of this style, you should c heck out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Snowstorm'' "The Fairies Circle" "Lilith" and "The Essence Remains". RECOMMENDED BUY.
