Allfather are a band from the United Kingdom and on this recording goes for a mixture of hardcore, sludge and death metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "And All Will Be Desolation" which will be released in September by Rotting Throne Records.
Clean yet distorted playing starts off the album before going into a heavier musical direction along with a great amount of melody while the vocals are done in mostly a hardcore shouting and screaming style as well as the music also mixing in a great amount of death'n'roll elements.
Some of the tracks are very long and epic in length while the slower sections of the songs are very heavily rooted in sludge and doom metal along with some growls also being utilized at times as well as the solos and leads being done in a very dark yet distorted style and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts, all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and acoustic guitars are added onto the closing track.
On this recording Allfather expands on their mixture of hardcore and sludge metal by adding in elements of death metal and death'n'roll to take their sound to another level, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Mythology, Politics and Philosophical themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Allfather and if you are a fan of hardcore, sludge and death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Black Triangle" "Lord Betrayer" and "Inherit The Dust". 8 out of 10.
