C.X are a band from Russia that plays a mixture of experimental, sludge, doom metal and grindcore and this is a review of their 2017 ep "Where Can I Get Money" which was released by Zero Hero Recordings.
A very powerful sounding bass guitar starts off the ep along with some elements of grindcore while the vocals are mostly death metal growls and screams as well as most of the tracks being short in length and at times the music also adds in elements of harsh noise and noisecore.
Elements of sludge and doom metal can also be heard in the slower sections of the songs while elements of experimental and electronic music can also be heard at times along with some of the vocals also adding in hardcore style shouts and all of the tracks sound very different from each other.
C.X plays a musical style that takes sludge, doom metal, grindocre, noise and electronic music and mixes them together to create something very original and all of the songs are re-mixes, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover alcohol and humor themes.
In my opinion C.X are a very great sounding experimental mixture of sludge, doom metal and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. 8 out of 10.
